Siren Model Pre-Development 11 by AdventDestiny Siren Model Pre-Development 11 by AdventDestiny
A look at the divided parts combined, which does bring into mind the appearance of a sewn together Frankenstein's monster... upon further thought, I've begun to wonder how professional artists manage to stitch these high-poly models back together without running into the problems that lead to the division of the model in the first place. I also began work on adding the other fins that would complete the appearance of a humanoid amphibian.

Originally I tried to create some fins from scratch to use as Insert Multi Mesh Brushes, but that didn't work out, couldn't get the fins to look like. Plan B was to repeat the process used to create the webbed hands, by creating the membranes that support the fin, then merge a resclupted plain between them. I had, as you can see, created the membranes, but before I tried to finish them, I discovered that an professional ZBrush artist had provided a set of premade fins and spikes for free download, which included the cool looking fins that you can see in the right hand side representations here. Each pair of fins are their own subtools, with the exception of the back fin, which is actually made of three separate fins of various sizes.

The fins are looking great! She'd look cool with her thumb webs extending further up her index fingers!!
